PENGARUH LAMA PERENDAMAN BENIH SEBELUM DORMANSI DAN KONSENTRASI AIR KELAPA MUDA TERHADAP VIABILITAS, VIGOR BENIH DAN BIBIT TIMUN APEL (Cucumis melo L.)


SASTRIANI PUTRI AYU. 2019. The Effect of Soaking Time Before Dormancy and Concentration of Young Coconut Water on Viability, Vigor Seed and Seedling of Apple Cucumber (Cucumis melo L). Guidance by WAGIONO and MIFTAKHUL BAKHRIR ROZAQ KHAMID.
This research was conducted at the Agronomy Laboratory of Faculty Agriculture, Singaperbangsa Karawang University and Screen House. The purpose of the research to find out the best effect from the Effect of soaking time and concentration of young coconut water on Viability, Vigor Seed and seedling of Apple Cucumber (Cucumis melo L.).
The method of research used experimental method, using Randomized Complete Design (RCD) and the Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors. The first factor is the concentration of young coconut water consisting of 0% young coconut water (aquades) (S0), 50% young coconut water (S1), 75% young coconut water (S2), and 100% young coconut water (S3). The second factor is the length of soaking seeds consisting of 12 hours (P1), 24 hours (P2) and 36 hours (P3). For stage one (Laboratory) research each treatment was repeated 3 times until acquired 36 units of the experiment. As for stage 2 research using the best 5 treatments of stage one research which were then repeated 5 times so that 25 units of the experiment. The results showed significant test done DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) standard of 5%.
The results showed that the interaction of soaking time and concentration of young coconut water was significantly effect on the parameters of stage one research (Laboratory) but had no real effect on the parameters of stage two research (Screen House). The best treatment was the treatment of 0% of young coconut water (aquades) 12-hourimmersion (S0P), 0% of young coconut water (aquades) 24-hour immersion (S0P2), 50% of young coconut water 36-hour immersion (S1P3), 75% of young coconut water 24-hour immersion (S2P2), and 100% of young coconut water 12-hour immersion (S3P1).
